Abstract Floral
Acrylic 18X24
With 45 years of experience working in acrylics, watercolor and mixed media, my work is a constant exploration of light, color, and texture. Drawing inspiration from Monet, I focus on capturing the ever-changing dance of light and shadow. The fluidity of watercolor allows me to evoke fleeting moments—like the shimmer of sunlight on water—while acrylics offer the boldness and texture necessary to make those moments feel tangible and alive.
In contrast to Monet’s careful strokes, I also embrace the free-form energy of Jackson Pollock. His abstract expressionism invites me to engage with spontaneity, allowing color and form to emerge organically. My work is a fusion of control and chaos, where color becomes not just a visual experience, but an emotional one. Whether through layered washes of watercolor or dynamic acrylic drips, I aim to channel the rawness of life itself—unfiltered, vibrant, and ever-changing.
As my artistic journey has evolved, I have learned to trust the process, letting each painting reveal itself in its own time. Every piece is a conversation between chaos and order, light and dark, simplicity and complexity. This duality is what continues to fuel my passion for painting and keeps me excited about the limitless possibilities of color.
